Lessens Learned
I was raised in a small, rural town in China, surrounded by a community of hardworking individuals. Motivated by a desire for greater opportunities, I made the decision to leave my stable position as a software engineer and relocate to the United States to pursue my education independently in 2006.
During my college years, I co-founded SMART Facility Services and developed the Marketplace Support technology platform. Our innovative platform attracted the attention of SMS Assist, which subsequently acquired SMART Facility Services in 2009. At SMS Assist, I’ve successfully expanded the technology team from a single member to a global team of 300 professionals. Together, we developed the award-winning platform, One. As a key executive, I played a pivotal role in scaling SMS Assist to a valuation of $1B, ultimately leading to the company’s 2023 acquisition by Lessen.
Throughout my career, I have gained invaluable insights into the significance of hard work and strategic thinking. I have learned success is not solely the result of individual effort but also requires being a dedicated team player and adapting to the dynamic nature of the business environment. My experiences have reinforced the importance of resilience and adaptability in achieving both personal and professional growth.
