My team at Lessen centers around supporting growth, new opportunities, and transformative innovation. We empower our sales teams with tools and products to drive growth and implement and onboard new customers with transparency and professionalism. We drive programs that enable and support our vendors with tools that drive efficiency, savings, and new opportunities for growth. We build teams of self-performing technicians across the nation to support and supplement our vendor network and drive strong results for our customers.
Lessens Learned
From an early age, I was inspired by my father, who skillfully balanced a career with his passion for starting restaurants and pursuing real estate investments. As a side-hustle entrepreneur, he provided for our family while teaching me to think big and chase my dreams. I learned the value of hard work and perseverance, traits that were reinforced by our family’s traditions, especially our unmissable Sunday dinners—the traditional Italian feast starting in the early afternoon and lasting well into the night.
My summers were spent immersed in the restaurant business, from busing tables and washing dishes to running deliveries and helping to launch new concepts. By the time I left for college, I had been involved in opening six diverse restaurants, ranging from fast service to full-service to a hip coffee shop and wine bar. This hands-on experience laid the foundation for my passion for business, leading me to study accounting and finance and pursue a CPA.
My interest in real estate drew me into homebuilding where I rose to Vice President of Land Acquisition and became a designated broker. I launched a new real estate venture following the 2008 housing collapse, seizing the opportunity to flip distressed properties. This experience culminated in a pivotal moment in early 2012, when I joined a group of seasoned real estate investors at the boardroom table to present an unprecedented idea: to acquire, stabilize, and manage single-family rental homes across the nation at scale with the simple desire to be the nation’s premier single-family rental business. This vision led to the founding of Colony American Homes, which evolved into Invitation Homes, the nation’s leading single-family rental REIT. Over the past 25 years, my career has spanned finance to operations, always grounded in a foundation of hard work, creativity, and growth. This journey brought me to Lessen, where I reconnected with our founder. Together, we aim to innovate and transform Lessen into the clear PropTech leader in the property services industry.
